Are you sick and tired of quoted movies during your D&D sessions?

Am I the only one out there who can't stand it when players incessantly quote movies during the game?

I swear I think I knew entire bits from Monty Python's: The Holy Grail before I had ever even seen the movie.

All of these movies have been ruined for me by everyone I've played with over my 2 decades of gaming:
- The Holy Grail - "Tis but a flesh-wound"
- The Princess Bride - "Inconceivable!"
- Highlander - just the 1st one - "There can be only one!"
- Space Balls - "Your schwarz is almost as big as mine."
- Army of Darkness - "And this is my boomstick!"
(To all of you needlers - If I've misquoted something...live with it.)

There's probably 50 more that I've repressed.

So am I the only one who glowers when these movies are quoted?

I mostly get sick of hearing monty python lines as I have no interest in the movies anymore. Not when a so-called friend got on my nerves quoting the whole damn movie while it's being played.

I agree that Monty Python and the Holy Grail is the most over-quoted movie in history (especially during D&D sessions), but I haven't really had a problem with overuse of movie quotes during sessions with my current D&D group. I guess I lucked out with that one. :)

No problems with the current groups here either.

*Phew*

Because, my gods and -esses and whatevers, if I had heard "There can be only one!" bellowing over the mutual hallucinatory battlefield ONE MORE TIME, there would have been only one. ME! Ahahahahaaa! That's right!

Therapy may be a viable option after all.

Oh this drives me nuts. I mean bat-crap insane. Because of some gamers I absolutely HATE The Princess Bride and cringe each time I see that terrible movie on TV. I am starting to hate Grail and so help me God they day they ruin Star Wars for me, blood will flow in the streets.
