There is a guy here in Las Vegas that is supposed to summon UFOs. Maybe he gave them bad coordinates. That might explain why none are showing up here as he promised.

Unrelated to your sighting, but related to seeing weird lights...

Sitting on the back porch of my parents new house in a small town in NC, you could see a white light far off across a field. It was maybe a mile away, below the far treetops (about the height you would expect of a streetlight, and about as bright). You could only see it at night (not surprising, that). It stayed on for 36 seconds exactly. Went off for 36 seconds exactly. On and off. Exactly 36 seconds each time. All night, every night.

We never figured out what it was, for about a year (no one walked out to it - would have been a bit of effort across fences, ditches, and soft field soil). Then construction began in the field and blocked sight of the light.

I saw it only a couple times when visiting, and was not prepared to trek the terrain.
