arrow counting question

hipnotode

First Post
ive found a few threads on counting arrows, most are on the lines of should you or not/retriving arrows. im curious about how manny arrows each attack uses, most of the time its 1, or it says otherwize in the flavor text, but what about powers that just say you fire off a load of arrows, like blinding barrage, or archers stairway that imply you fire a few arrows, but arnt specific?
sorry for all the questions tonight, im building a few character concepts >.>

thank you, yet again, in advance,
-hip

i kinda like the idea, its more bookkeeping but i dont mind that. im strongly thinking about implementing it in the next campain i play. that and inherant bonus's. i want to be able to hit someone with a barstool at epic level. (well, its spic level... so probably hit them with the bar...)
but thats personal preferance. dont want this thread to become an argument about it or anything. i dont like "your playing the game wrong" debates, all fun is good fun.

also, i think that if your counting arrows for attacks, i dont see why firring your bow at a wall would mean you dont loose your arrows. especialy if you implement a retrieve x% of missed system.

im now thinking that 1 arrow per [w] might be a good system. might nerf enchanted arrows though. gues thats why its 1 arrow per target.

There aren't a lot of enchanted arrows - and there are a few magic bows that don't worry about ammunition.

Counting ammunition only when resuply might be an issue makes some sense.

It unfairly punishes the ranger and seeker for no real reason. If they run out of ammo, they become useless. Noone else has to deal with this. It really adds nothing for the game.

Which is what you should be counting, certainly, but I don't think mundane ammunition should be counted.

It seems unnecessarily punitive. A general assumption that a ranger would bring enough arrows is fair for any game that's not really about attrition; by which I mean, most games.
