Arrow Demon + Feats = 17 Attacks???

Hey nice bad guy! Arrow Demons are tres cool. Iron Will would be a good choice, and if it's OK with you I'd like to suggest another thing. Lose 4 levels of fighter, and take 4 levels of assassin instead. You only lose 1 point of BA (still get 4 atts :) ), and 2 feats, but you gain poision use, 2d6 sneak attack that would apply to every arrow you fired (uses a ring of blinking or something), 2nd level assassin spell (not the best but could be helpful), and a death att. Seems to fit the theme too.

I looked at using the Assassin PrC, and he could easily meet the prerequisites..... hmmmmmm, I might have to re-think that one. Thanks!

Iron Will is going to replace Lightning Reflexes I think, even though that did fit the theme of the monster......

Glad I could help. I think it's great your player have a DM willing to put in the work to create interesting advisaries. I hate it when the DM "plays out of the MM". :D

You know, if I really, really wanted to make this guy NASTY, I could give the bow he wields the splitting property from Champions of Ruin, which causes the missile fired from the bow to "break into two identical missiles before striking the target". That would make for 20 arrows a round......

In fact, I think I'll do that.

The arrow demon has an amazing ability to wield two bows at once in unison. Any time the arrow demon could make a single attack with a bow, it can attack with both of its bows, at -2 on all its attack rolls that round.

For example...when making a full-attack action, it can fire one arrow from each bow for each of its normal iterative attacks (two arrows from each bow, each shaft at a -2 penalty).

It seems pretty clear that it does get two extra shots from Rapid Shot and from Manyshot (though Manyshot still isn't worth it). The iterative thing was just an example, not the limit on the rule.

He's currently firing 20 arrows a round while making 10 attacks. Aside from putting him under the effects of a haste spell or giving his weapon some sort of speed enchantment (boots of speed?), are there other ways to make him even faster or fire even more arrows?

I don't think so, though the great thing about the Speed enchantment for weapons is that you can put that on both weapons and get two more attacks, making it superior to Haste, in a sense.

Make sure he's got a quiver of Ehlohna or something, or he'll run out of arrows in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Or have a stock of quivers that he can teleport to during combat to reload.
