[art, hosted] DnD Iconics gallery! Today: Alexandra!

Klaus

First Post
Hey, Kids and Kidettes!

What a blast! Thanks for everyone's response to this feature, it's been real fun to make the Iconics come to life!

Today, expand your minds and meet Alexandra, the psion (from page 34 of the PsiHB). She's not widely known, but she's really well designed, and was the character that convinced me that psionics could work in an average DnD game (just check out the Wayne Reynolds pic of the power "Sever the Tie").

As usual, the goodies are here:

And while you're there, take the time to compare the different proportions/expressions of elves, half-elves, halflings and humans. No, no half-orcs or gnomes in the near future...

Oh, Vadania -> Glad you liked your pic! :)

Hmm. She was there when I followed the link. Perhaps you should try again?

Great job as usual Klaus! But, um, are you going to do a hot guy for your female fans? Please?:p

Carnifex -> Try it again, perhaps hit Reload.

Buttercup -> Regdar is done and is just waiting his turn on stage (what, you don't think Regdar's hot? Well, think again! ... :) )

Awesome stuff, Klaus. Are these pencils the final versions, or will you be releasing coloured/retouched ones as well?

Hong -> For the foreseeable future, these are as final as they will get. I tend to like the "portraitish" look the pencils give.

I think your version is a lot more beautiful than the one in the PsiH, but it doesn't look a lot like the one in that book. Alexandra's body seem a lot stouter in the PsiH. Also, her eyes on your version are more detailed than they are in the book, and they gave her a rather strange look in the book she doesn't have here. She also seem nice here, whereas she looks evil in the PsiH.

Don't believe I don't like your version, but I think it's quite off from the "official" version of the character...

Re: Vadania

Klaus,

Incredible job all around. I like the high level of detail in the pencils, it shows how much range you do have.

The pupils on Vadania are great.
