Artisan Feats (Are all three worth it?)

Are the three Artisan feats worth taking if you want to create a construct, or any other magical item? The three (Exceptional, extraordinary, and legendary artisan) which reduce base time, cost of raw materials, and exp by 25%. (Respectively)

Is it worth it to take all three? Or would it be better to chose only one of them, b/c you would still need the actual crafting spell(to begin with).

The reason why I am asking is because I plan on making a construct and I am not sure if it will be worth the three extra feats to reduce the overall effort.

Well, Extraordinary and Legendary Artisan are definitely worth it in any campaign (the ones that reduce money & xp)- exceptional artisan is only useful in campaigns with clear time restrictions. If your campaigns allow you lots of downtime between adventures, there's no reason to take it.

But here's the question: Do you plan on using more than three craft feats a lot? Because if not (if you are only really concerned about constructs), try asking your DM if you can take the Magical Artisan feat from the Faerun campaign setting- basically, it's ONE feat that reduces the time, money, and xp costs- for ONE item creation feat. Meaning, you can take this feat once, and reduce the time, money, and xp costs for one of your magic item creations (such as Craft Wondrous). If you take the feat again, it applies to another item creation feat. So, if you are only really worried about Craft Construct, see if you can take this ONE feat rather than THREE feats.

Actually, yeah all I really plan on creating are constructs, so the Magical Artisan seems like the perfect answer. My only question is that it reduces all the aspects by 25%? Right?

Thanks a bunch for the help.

If you are going to make a lot of constructs you might want ask your dungeon master a few things.

Can you take both Magical Artisan and the Eberron artisan feats and have them stack?
Can you make a special item which only helps you make constructs but gives you some amount of those feats for free? It could be you will need the help of someone who has the feats already to make this item.
Can you make or use a prestige class that will help you with these goals?
Can you carry your homunculous and crafting lab in a portable hole and have it crafting you new constructs as you adventure?
Do you get extra experience points for being a lower level than the rest of your group?

These are all very important questions!

Correct! I made a Cleric once that pretty much only made wondrous items, and so Magical Artisan was a life-saver. (And a time-saver. And money-saver. And experience-saver.)

In response to letting it stack with the Eberron feats, I'd advise strongly against it. There's a reason you can only take it once.
