Artwork for your D&D game

I have a big collection of fantasy artwork that I keep on my hard drive; a lot of it cribbed from the WotC art galleries and the Paizo blog; most of the rest of it from various online galleries, usually maintained by fantasy artists themselves. I find this stuff really really good for use in my games, and I sometimes design action set-pieces around a good piece of artwork so I can show the piece to the players. It's especially cool in my Pbp game.

Anyone else do this?

Also: anyone know where I can find a picture of Cary Nord's Hounds of Marduk or Hyperboreans from the Conan comic book while you're at it? I could totally use those if I could find a good image of them somewhere. :)

I do pretty much the same thing, though I've not done a very good job at organizing all of them. Currently getting a lot of good images from Warhammer Online (great dwarfs and elves).

I'm an artist and I draw my own stuff normally and then pass it through photoshop. I have used the WoTC stuff for inspiration though.

I do the same thing, and I'm also horrible at organizing all of it. I've got gigs and gigs of stuff saved that I need to organize. It would probably take me a year just to organize everything. Maybe that will be my New Years resolution/project for next year.:(

I have loads which are neatly ordered into a giant alphabetical list.

I skim through it for inspiration sometimes or to use as game props.

Yes, i have a hard drive full of probably thousands of pictures. I'll never use them all, but in the past i would sometimes base whole encounters around a single cool picture. I also like to photoshop new art for games. Here's one i did today, i just needed a goblin on a skull throne, so a little google search later turned them up and i slapped them together.

Yup, there's another 97.4kb added to the pile. Man, I'm never going to get this stuff organized.:(
