Ashin's Commission: The Great Escape!

(OOC: Okey dokey. I was going to do something that would give her one last boost for this combat but then after it was over, and the retirement was official, she would turn into a bad guy :])

*Eternity delays. The enemy Afflicted wait to see what Ironwolf and Hulgyr will do.*

(OOC: Ironwolf and Hulgyr can go)

If Ironwolf has allready completed his previously stated action (move 20' into the room and full defend) and the bad guys haven't responded yet, he'll ready an action to step forward and attack the first badguy to come within 15' of him.

(OOC: No he hasn't completed the full defense advance--he'll do that if that's what he still wants. I was going to give him Hulgyr a chance to charge if he wanted without Ironwolf in the way. I still will, but I'll post Ironwolf's action anyway)

*Ironwolf defensively advances into the room, about halfway to the enemies.*

(OOC: Hulgyr's turn)

(OOC: The closest Afflicted are 40 feet back (and they had to be like 60 or less because the Astral Constructs charged that distance). The three 'normal villagers' are 100 feet or more from that)

Hulgyr charges the line of opponents.
If possible, He'll hit the one already damaged by the constructucts (reaching over them with his 10'reach) . If that's not possible, he';; chareg the closest one.

although his blow is mighty, it is also badly aimed. Attack: 15, damage: 31. Rolls are here

(OOC: He's not going into Rage? I ask because that extra strength could make a difference, both in terms of actually hitting and of barely passing the damage threshold required to KO these guys ;)

As for the constructs, they're tending Size Large too now, and the pair, working together, did drop their opponent barely, so there's no 'injured one')

(OOC: You can always Rage again to eliminate the Fatigue temporarily--you'll get that extra Rage from damage soon I think :] Ah well, then, you miss completely :( Update soon--have a few things for work to do first)

*Hulgyr barrels forward and misses completely as Ironwolf moves in behind him and blocks the way in case any Afflicted get a wise idea to charge past and attack Almayce, Eternity, or Zaeryl (plus Michael who is back there after destroying the door).*

*They do not, however. Instead, as many as possible swarm around Hulgyr, ignoring the constructs for now as if they knew that the constructs are temporary and a waste of attacks anyway. The others are in range to attack Ironwolf, but they have to deal with attacks of opportunity from the Astral Constructs. However, they seem willing to do so rather than waste attacks on the constructs, so they do.*

*Hulgyr's socks are still reasonably lucky, so he only takes 4 hits, which isn't bad at all considering he charged them. Ironically, raging would have prevented two of those by killing the enemy that was able to get a full attack off on him.*

(OOC: 43 damage--free Rage! Told ya so ;))

*Ironwolf's socks are not so lucky. Despite taking every precaution imaginable, he is still hit twice (enemies that hit rolled 18 and 20). The good news is that one of the two Astral Constructs gets off an attack on one of the large Afflicted, which hurts it and sets it up as an easier Cleave target that may not require expending Focus to Cleave.*

(OOC: Ironwolf takes 26)

*The people in the back continue to watch the battle with interest. Aglaia seems to be trying to cry out for help, tears dripping down her face as only Hulgyr can see, since he charged forward and is closer, but she is gagged.*

(OOC: Back to Michael)
