Attorney vs Lawyer

Whether WotC prints them or not really doesn't matter all that much.
Indeed, I'm happy to let 3rd-party companies take over these properties, rather than see WotC go bankrupt trying to support all of them... like they did when they were TSR.

All I care about is the final product. I don't care who makes it.

Right on. If some 3rd-party can make Star Frontiers d20 and make a profit, everyone wins.

I, for one, enjoyed the idea of Urban Arcana, but I hated the implementation.

"There are hobgobins, and ogres, and drow runnign around, but because of the cloak of shadow they lok just like normal people to the mundanes."

That really irked me. So, I'm hoping, one d20 Future comes out, to do a Dragonstar d20 Modern.

I liked this concept, actually. Very "They Live." My problem was simply the products was very slapdash and, to me, quite devoid of interesting ideas.

WoTC will do the same thing with Alternity/Dark Matter that they did with Planescape. They will NEVER publish a new book based on the property but they will mine it for all it's worth and use the ideas for new books.

That is to be seen. For it is official that Dark Matter is going to be updated to d20 in polyhedron. Im suprised that none of you have seen this little gem:

There was talk of a d20 Modern Dark*Matter Polyhedron mini-setting for awhile. I still hope that happens sometime.

As for "old worlds", there is also the possibility of a third party publisher licensing the rights to old TSR/WotC settings as White Wolf has done with Ravenloft.
