Avatar: The Last Airbender questions

CrusaderX

First Post
The Avatar marathon ran on Nickelodeon on Thanksgiving. Nine hours worth of shows, or 18 episodes. I didn't watch all 18 yet, so I'm wondering, do these 18 make up the complete first season of the show? How many seasons have aired? And will there be more new seasons/shows?

I think they're doing 3 or 4 seasons, not sure though. 18 episodes have aired with 2 specials that summarize and go behind the scenes. Then, on Dec 2 the two part season finale will air.

Ok, I have a question.

I taped the marathon, and so far watched the first 6 episodes.

I like the show.

Without spoiling specifics, does the show always stay light-hearted, or do they eventually wind up in desperate and dire situations where bad things happen?

This show seems to have a great mix of comedy and action and character moments, now it just to bring the powerful emotional drama to the table and it'll be great. But I don't want to get my hopes up. Especially since its on Nickelodeon.

So, how much should I expect from it?

I merrily echo Truth Seeker. Watch all of it. I find it amazing that a show like this is on Nick. Hopefully this tredn will continue with Skyland.

Things do get serious now and then, but for the most part it stays pretty light hearted in spirit.

I was able to catch a few of the episodes and I've definitely been pleased with what I'd been able to see. I didn't realize it was a full marathon or else I might have tried to catch more.

The season finale is coming up Friday, Dec 2 with a full hour-long special. That might have been the other reason for the marathon.

Wait - I thought Nick was advertising that the episode on Nov. 18 was the season finale! I'm confused!! I watched the end of the marathon with the assumption that episode 18 was the end so far.

Don't know about that, sniffles, but Book One: Water ends with the hour long show on Dec 2.
