Avoid an overrun attempt. Does it provoke an AoO?

A target of an overrun attempt can choose to simply avoid the overrun, moving out of the way with "no ill effect". Does that movement provoke an attack of opportunity from other enemies in the area? I'm not sure if "no ill effect" simply refers to the consequences of the overrun (being knocked down), or if it refers to any sort of complication (like an AoO) from moving.

No - avoiding an Overrun involves allowing the creature to pass through your square. It does not entail actually leaving that square, which is what would provoke the AoO.

Also when the DM says;

The dragon rears up and slashes at you with it's claws.

In a feat of agility unexpected due to it's great bulk, the bulette leaps into the air and strikes at you with all four of it's legs.

These do not draw AoOs.
