[BAD AXE GAMES] GRIM TALES Free Downloads Posted

Ed B. tells me the cartography is great - I will be picking up both Grim Tales and Slave Lords of Cydonia!!!

For the record, I never said the cartography is "great" on Slave Lords of Cydonia. What I said was that I thought the project itself is very cool and that is why I wanted to do the cartography in the first place. Crazy webmaster!

I ordered my copy of Grim Tales yesterday and am quite excited about it.

Cheers - Ed

...designed to be completely compatible with your existing library of d20 products, allowing you to use characters, equipment, spells, monsters, and even entire settings from nearly any source.

I like this philosophy, I wish others would take that line. Even though a few months ago you said something to p**s me off so much I swore I'd never touch another BAG product, I'm seriously considering this.

Just picked up a copy last night at my FLGS and while I did not read that much (wife wanted to... well she distracted me) but what I saw looks really cool. Can't wait to give it a try... congrad BTW

And this is why a lot of my products are late to press, too. ;)

ZING! Nice one.

Just trying to decide if I want to cut material or go ahead and raise the price in order to publish it as a hardback.

bought it today ... question: do the creature creation rules work for "regular" 3.5e D&D (maybe it says so in the book, haven't got it out of the car yet ...)

They are not for an inexperienced GM, but otherwise, go for it.

Watch carefully for balance issues-- pay attention to the "Golden Rule," and don't forget to multiply by 2/3 when you're done.

I personally find them more useful for making slight changes to characters or existing creatures than for a "ground up" approach, but even if you build from the ground up, having a "system" beats guesswork.
