Just a quick note to the admins.

I notice your fav. thread and mine (single female gamers) was recently closed. I was one of the lasts posters, and have to assume that in large part this thread was closed due to me.

Which I should at least apologize for.

But also, can I have a virtual-smack (in private over email please), if it was me who crossed the line? I do not want to get to big for my britches, nor be the type of poster who tends to get threads closed.

Don't worry too much. It had gotten a little too OT in the wrong direction, on a subject that was a little to close to sexism. We try pretty hard to keep these boards equally accessible to men and women; locker room conversations, even when the participants are having fun, make that a lot more difficult. So no pointed fingers, no shaken fists, just a moderator judgment that the thread had served its purpose and was headed downhill. I would have emailed you or posted if you were specifically at fault.

Next time, though, please email me (as another poster did.) It's our policy that closed thread discussions be handled over email.

Was a fun thread while it lasted, but I have to agree with Piratecat that it's time had come, just in general nothing specific.
