D&D 5E Baldur's Gate 3 needs more short companions!

given there are 10 (11 if dark origin had been it's own) companions and 11 species i'm surprised they didn't choose to have each companion be one of each species, there are three humans, five variants of elf(1 high(also vampire), 1 wood, 1 drow and 2 high half-elves), one tiefling, and a githyanki.

i haven't actually played BG3 so i don't know the characters extensively but going off the wiki what if:
Dark Urge - Dragonborn
Astarion - Elf (wood)(vampire)
Gale - Gnome
Karlach - Tiefling
Lae'zel - Githyanki
Shadowheart - Halfling
Wyll - Dwarf
Halsin - Half-orc
Jaheira - Half-elf (high)
Minsc - Human
Minthara - Drow
i don't really know why they felt they had to separate drow from the other elf subspecies but it is what it is.

Durge can be whatever but default is Dragonborn

Shadowheart is a Half-Elf
Gale is a Human
Wyll is Human
Halsin is a Half-Elf, I think? or Human? He's big and bulky.

None of the companions are a short race by default

i'm aware, but i was saying what if they weren't, what if each species was represented by a companion.

Being a drow, because of the steup of the story, has a major impact on quite a bit of dialogue options. Drow and githyanki are the two most impactful racial choices on how the game plays out.

they might've been, but let's not give them the chance right?
The game was in Early Access for over 3 years, plenty of people voiced their opinions about different iterations of the playable characters.

If there had been a major desire for a halfling Gale or a dwarf Wyll, I'm pretty sure it would have been heard. This isn't Larian ignoring feedback due to their own aesthetic impressions; dropping short race companions is simply Larian giving the audience what they're asking for.
