Barbarians seem very effective, too effective?

A Barbarian that is regularly dazed, stunned or immobilized will feel very useless, soon.

Like our barbarian. He gets hit on like a 2 at level 17 vs will. He is almost eternally dazed. Occasionally we run across people who attack vs ref/ac/will to immobilize (save ends) at will. That makes him super bored. He usually can't die as with one leader, we can't make him spend his 16 HS's before someone else is out of them...

The Fighter and Barbarian in my party has the exact same problems with will defense. I can usually hit it on a 4 or something... Btw, what barbarian cares about being dazed? You can still charge. (And if you have the amulet you can ping-pong charge between enemies.)

If you want truly broken, cry about avengers. They're incredibly tough, highly manoeuvrable, have loads of awesome powers and virtually never miss. They may not do tons of damage unless they crit, but they crit often and hardly ever missing cannot be underestimated.

I think the barbarian is just fine. I think the avenger is just fine. They do their jobs but do them in different ways and with different flavour. Like others have said, the barbarian is swingy with his damage output. I think you'll find that the averages will even things out.

Is it also possible that he's intelligently targeting low defence mobs? Are you putting a lot of brutes in?

Avengers fold like paper vs things that target fort. Moreso if they are ranged and do something nasty with that fort save, like immobilize.

I think in general, classes whic have main and secondary attribute which goes to the same defense need something to compensate. The barbarian has his barbarian reflexes thing, but this is only enough if you don´t min/max like crazy. And if you min/max, this feat is really great, so i am a bit on the fence, because of my general dislike of feats that promote min/maxing. So the barbarian now has AC like plate armor with a +1 bonus o reflex on top of it. And it also scales up.
