Divine soul should be the subclass that changes the spell list to the cleric spell list for the sorcerer rather than just granting access to it.
They could still give Bards wide discretion in which spells are on their list even without the Divine/Arcane/Primal designation. I hope they do. I liked that idea.
It's no different than selecting the divine, primal, or arcane spell list and I think that this is what the should have been one of the defining aspects of the sorcerer but they hadn't really set up up the different magic types. That'd be a big nerf.
But that's completely in your control and has no real mechanical meaning.Honestly I cared more about the fluff of power sources then the actual spell lists.
I suspect the Bard will keep the same spell list as in 2014, but with updates from later books, and perhaps with some daring additions to the spell list.I'm not expecting a lot of huge changes in the other classes compared to their last UA appearance, just tweaks, but the exception is the Bard because after the last UA reveal where you can pick your spell list/power source, they yanked out the Power Source lists that trait depended on.
So now Bard is the big class wild card in the next PHB, and it drives me nuts not knowing what to expect with it. Really it should have been in the very last PHB UA honestly.
What changes to the Bard do you think they have made?
Are they still just Arcane casters again, or maybe get a basic bard spell list then choose from the Cleric, Sorcerer, Druid Spell lists?
Any other none spell list changes to Bard or its subclasses are you expecting?
