Bard's Inspire Competence, Courage

First Post
We've started a new game and it seems 3 out of the four players came into the game wanting to play bards. This shouldn't be a problem as far as gameplay goes, but my question is, does the Inspire Courage and Inspire Competence stack with other bards? With 3 bards it could be pretty sweet to have a total +3 att/dmg/saves or a possible +6 to skill checks. Anyways, I can't find in the PHB whether these abilities stack for multiple bards.

Check and see if any want to play marshals from the minis handbook. There could be some 'incredible' synergy going on! (one bard, two marshals with different auras = huge potential)

Why not use aid another? It might not work so well as the bonuses rise but it'll help. Also are they going to all go straight bard?

I'm not sure what all their plans where. My plan was to pick up a bard prc from somewhere. another player said he had an idea for a bard, but didn't say what his final build might come out like. The 3rd player happened to draw the son of a gleeman, so although he didnt come to the table with the idea of a bard his prebuild is more of a bard than the other 2 of us.

I should say the DM set up where we would draw random father templates and then we would make our character. Then we rolled stats in order, so no switching roles around, your first roll was str, 2nd dex, 3rd con, and so on. I drew the son of a drunk, another was an innkeepers daughter, and the last was a gleemans nefew. ALl of which make for valid bards with storytelling.

I'll have to check out the marshall from the mini's handbook, i'd never heard of it.

They don't stack. However, I would say feel free to house rule it in this case. 3 bards are fairly suboptimal choices compared to the standard party, so I say let them have that boost.
