Battlestar 2003

I'll probably watch, but I'm not expecting it to be good. The Egyptian elements and the robotic Cylons are what made the show unique. Now, it looks like any other generic, post-Aliens sci-fi.

And the producers thought the original, alien Cylons were cliched so they made them into Terminators? Much better.

And, if you look at the cast/crew/whatever list, there is a "Number 6" who is a Cylon who happens to look like a leggy, attractive, but tough blonde. I couldn't help but wonder if her full designation was "6 of 9".

*sigh*

I'm still watching it, though.

So does anyone have links to pics of the new fighters and such? I don't have cable so I won't get the pleasure of (or maybe be spared from) seeing it.
Just go to www.scifi.com and click on the Battlestar Galactica link. Don't look for a lot of changes to the vipers. The Battlestar is now rounded (weird and unnecessary), but everything else is completely different. The Cylon ships are probably the most noticable departure unless you start looking at the cylons themselves.

That depends. Is she one of the major villains through and through, or will she change over to the good side?

about #6. I was thinking "I hope that is not supposed to be a DBZ refernce with Android #6". That was the Androids number in DBZ wasn't it? She was also a blonde, and for a DBZ character I imagine leggy and attractive. :D

That was Android #18, actually. One thing's for certain, you knew who wore the pants in her eventual family... :D

hey, for as often I watched DBZ, that was pretty close. :) I really dislike that anime. But yeah, she had Krillin whipped good.

I'm afraid my Cylon fighten days are well behind me now ( I remember getting a cardboard viper cockpit kit off of a box of cereal at one time though, and I had fake Galactica insignias taped to a blue jean jacket).
If, by "well behind me" you mean last week, then OK.

Ha ha, naaaaah, just playin'! We still LUUUH ya!

This one is simple for me:

Loathed the original when it came out. I mean, get real -- Pong as a targetting program? Cartwrights in space? acting that was bad and cheesy by 1970s standards?

A "friend" forced me to watch the 1980 version. (shudder)

No way on this green earth that I will sit through the remake.
