Beards on dwarven women, yes or no?

How many times doesn this question come up.

If I've told people once I've told them a thousand times.

Dwarven women only grow beards during pregnancy, the rest of the time they are unable to grow beards. It is believed to be defensive mechanism, to enable the slower pregnant dwarven female be able to hide among the men folk, thus preventing them being singled out and picked off by sub-terrainean predators.

I was inspired by TT- when Gimli says people think dwarves just pop up from holes in the ground, or something along those lines.

I thought- wow, imagine if they did. :)

I made it a bit more complicated then that, but I made sure all of the non-human races were very non-human. (with exceptions of those people twisted by mad gods- they can be up to that god's imagination).

Yes, definitely. A dwarf without facial hair is just a sad thing, IMO...

Besides, Skaven likes them better with hair, we do...
