Beards on dwarven women, yes or no?

second, I like dragon girl's idea... hair as prestiege. Sure you could have a nappy beard, but a girl with a nice braided oiled beard is a good find.

Actually, a girl with a nice braided oiled beard is a good torch in a lot of dungeon situations.

And heck, not all dwarven MALES have to have beards. Just look at Dopey.

Yep, dwarf wimmen have beards, I always envisioned the scraggly Grandma beard thats just gotten out of control or the 'bum fluff' fine coating.

/mental note, sell wax to dwarven empire, make profit, retire from adventuring.

In my campaign there is a dwarven bar whose name (translated into Common from Dwarven) is Rock Rock Rock.

My female dwarves are breadless, they grow peach-fuzz, not beards. Deep dwarf women do, however.

As an aside: my drow don't grow facial hair either.

I came up with this via Complete Dwarves Handbook. All the female's pictured are beardless. (Esp the one dancing on the table) Then the 3e PHB did the same in the race pic. Good enough for me.

If I run a campaign in Middle Earth however, my female dwarves will have beards.
