Neutral has always felt the most fair to me, that is the stance I have tried to adhere to.

Thank you! I find this deeply unsettling. But this observation would explain a thing or two. I need to digest this.

The Anything Goes (AG DM) can do anything they want: they by definition have no limits.

Nearly all other DM types have huge limits: Fairness, Fair Play, The Gentleman Arrangement, The Lake Geneva Conventions, and Best Bud Bumps. At the very least. There is a huge list of hundreds of things the DM will refuse to do.
