Best Big Finish Audio

I am a long time Dr. Who fan and am considering getting some of the Big Finish Audio productions. However, I do not know the good episodes from the bad. So, if you have any experience with them, which ones can you recommend?

I've never listened to any. Sorry! But I have heard that they're generally of a very high quality.

Like Morrus, I've never listened to any of the Audio Plays (except for the Richard E. Grant retconned 9th Doctor), despite being a massive Doctor Who fan. The Paul McGann ones seem like fan favorites.

I have quite a few of them. The Paul McGann are excellent. I have enjoyed all the ones I have gotten an not had one that I felt was a waste of money. I think the best way to go is pick your favorite doctor or companion and go from there.

Warning the Sarah Jane Adventures are great but rather dark very different than the TV show.

I have the first two "seasons" of the Paul McGann with Lucie Miller and the McGann ones with Mary Shelley and they're really good (as well as a few others). It makes me really wish McGann had gotten screen time as The Doctor as he's one of my favorites.

I like the actual discs for the artwork and photos, but they're quite a bit cheaper as downloads-only, though once you purchase the discs you also have download access.

As I haven't got any of the audio stuff, but have had it pop into my mind from time to time over the years, I'd be interested in hearing why it's so good. I've heard so many times that it's good, but I've never heard why, or what's good about it.

Not that I'm doubting it's good; this might be the thread that finally pushes me over the edge and gets me to buy one!
