Best Campaign Setting????

No Drist, that was my bad. I should have added "Though I'll admit the KoK Screen is just as sturdy as the SL Screen."

Take your word on that Psion, since I haven't seen in my store yet. But I'll be sure to look for it just to test the feel of it. :)

Ditto Hamy. I know it wasn't one of the original choices, but its become my fav too, which is weird since I thought I would hate any setting based/influenced by a trading card game.

"Tight", focused setting, plenty of political intrigue, a Mordor-esque (Shadwlands) enemy for meta-plot fun, its a human dominated setting, no gnomes, and creepy gothic stuff can be easily inserted.

And you can play a bipedal rat as a PC class!

Rokugan!

Ah, I see :) I was beginning to wonder if the SL one was of the thickness of the 1e DM screen. Now that one was sturdy!

Personally, although I'm happy with the sturdiness of the KoK screen, it is not as sturdy as I had expected. I was thinking it would be more like the 1e AD&D one.

I believe the thickness on it is around 1/8 of inch or perhaps 1/6 of an inch. I could be wrong but it's definately thicker than either of the previous WotC D&D screens.

KOK DM Screen

The KoK DM screen is simply the best DM screen ever created. Ever. I've owned most of them. The SL and FR screens are children compared to it.

To summarize..

All other DM screens that have been and all that will be fall before its absolute greatness.

I was extremely disappointed with the Monsternomicon. When I first saw it, I was excited. Look how much space they give each monster! First person account and more than the paltry submissions that the MM gives. Not just combat, there's substance here. But as I read through the book I started to notice that the entries were bogged down with filler. Big margins, borders all over (including cutting the page in half) and still there was lots of white space. I think, if all that had been cut out and the page count had been economized, it would have shrunk in size by 50%.

I didn't even notice; too busy looking at the great black and white ink illustrations and monsters, and doing things such as not reading the Creature Lore Secrets of each monster until I read the story behind it first (Deathjack omg)

I'm not disparaging the SL screen, but the KoK screen is much sturdier. There's no contest.

The HackMaster screen smokes 'em all, though. It's unbelievable.
