Best Current RPG Artist?

I'll have to second Jason Engle. His work is great. I like the stuff he has done for the game of thrones ccg. His art realy makes the characters come to life.

Larry Elmore. I dig his art, especially his women. Snarfquest was cool. I was sad when his nymph got replaced in the MM for 3.5 :(

Having seen the cover of Dragon #310...

Come back Ali! Come back Ali's sister! :)

WAR, followed closely by Elmore and Lockwood. I just like Reynolds dynamic stlye. His characters really seem alive to me.

Of course art is about the most subjective thing there is so I can't give a real reason I like his work so much.

And Particle Man - I'm saddened that Elmore's Nymph was replaced in the 3.5 MM too - Va-Va-Vooooom!!! ;)

Larry Elmore's use of background is vastly unappriciated.

I like individual WAR paintings, but not overrall. Every one is the same thing: someone kicking butt. That's it. The Satyr in the 3.5 Monster Manual was especially disapointing in that regard. He's a decent enough artist I just wish he had a greater range of style.

For "comic art" I prefer the retired David Trampier. It is a true shame he stopped painting.

But I guess my faves are DiTerlizzi and Brom. Both of those guys really know how to evoke mood.

Just my two cents.

Has anyone had the pleasure of seeing Squiggle D's work (Talon Comics)? He's awesome!!! I can't remember the last book he worked for (someone help me out here) but I think it was for Bastion Press?...Paladinwife:D
