Best magic item (2000gp or less)?

What is the best magic item, or items, for a 6th level conjuration specialist wizard that equal no more than 2,000gp? I need to know right away, as my character is getting their choice in tonight's game.

I'm thinking either a hat of disguise, slippers of spider climbing, an item that gices a +1 enhancement bonus to an ability score such as Int, or would getting a bunch of scrolls of spells I don't know but want to learn be better?

+2 to an ability score is too expensive. Out of the DMG, I'd suggest a cloak of resistance and some scrolls (and maybe a few potions of cure light).

Knowing what character class your PC is would be helpful....

I'm guessing "conjuration specialist wizard", just off the top of my head...

And 20 Quaal's Feather Token : Trees.

They're just so cool.

6th level conjuration specialist wizard. I have no magic items, LOL, as they were taken away when I got captured and never recovered. I want something that will be good for either expanding my spell repertoire or good for protecting me or facilitating my Charisma based skills, but I'm open to any and all suggestions. Oops, I forgot, I do have a pearl of power (1st level).

Overall, I'd prefer something I could use practically everyday in a variety of situations.

Go with scrolls of 1st and 2nd level, of various utility spells that last fairly long. Also, if healing is short in the party, potions of cure light wounds.

One item that boosts your INT by +1 is not that good of a tradeoff, unless your INT is an odd number.

I'd consider having extra spells in your spell book. Even higher level ones, that you can't use right now. Alot depends on how the DMs run the campaign...but you might not have time/money enough between adventures to scribe any you find.......

Do it by spending the money on scrolls, then on scribing costs......I wonder how many (or how few) you would get this way?

INT 19, with spellcasting prodigy, INT 21... a +1 bonus to Int would be helpful. But most of my stats are at odd numbers so I could use a +1 to CON (17), WIS (15) or CHA (15) equally.
