I sent both, but there was a steep cliff on the way, and the half orc failed his athletics check (the goliath rolled twice) and his racial didn't help as he fell to his doom.

If he was paragon the goliaths dangling arms probably tripped up the half orc... and they both plummeted into the bottomless pit of dispair ...been digging it just for fun you know.
