Well, this amused me. Not sure if I completely agree with all their choices, but there's a good crop here. #1? Cheers, It wouldnt be my #1, but it's definitely in my top 10.

I think my top 5 list would be:
1) Muppet Show
2) Star Trek
3) Gilligan's Island
4) The Adam's Family
5) Magnum PI

Eh, it has some good picks on each list, he definitely seems nostalgic for the olden tymes. Of course it's rather subjective and my choices would be utterly different, as such lists are typically limited to shows that were fairly popular / well-known. Or just plain current, in the case of the 12-list. I don't watch most of these shows, especially on the current list, so I can't comment much. But I do watch Chuck, and...really? I mean, really? Current openings are THAT bad?

It'd be nice to see some other ones in the top 40.
[sblock]I like the openigs to Married...with Children and Unhappily Ever After, but everyone likely has heard "Love and Marriage" and "Hit the Road, Jack", respectively. Although, the initial UEA opening was an original sung by Bobcat Goldthwait.

I guess things like this don't consider anything foreign, because otherwise there are some really good Japanese anime intros that should be on a tops list (Record of Lodoss War, for an example) as well as others from different countries. Even without that, aside from King of the Hill and the Simpsons, the list had little for animated ones.

As for the list in general, I don't know if I should feel good or bad about the fact that I recall almost the entire list (and I'm old enough to remember most of them on tv) -- I think I'm just admitting that I am old and have no life.

Depends. I recall most of those, but only due to the miracle of syndication and re-runs. Off the top of my head, only the A-Team, Real American Hero, Dukes of Hazzard, Cheers and Doctor Who theme songs were the few that I had seen when the shows were in production Probably others, but don't have the time to go through the list to verify.

Greatest American Hero at number 30? Oh come on now, that should be ranked much higher. It's all anyone really remembers of the show!
