Scarmiglione tries to bandage Kaz's wounds, although he doesn't seem to know what he is doing. Eventually he sinks to the ground, utterly exhausted.

OOC: I'm at 4 hp and out of surges.

OOC: Thanks Luinnar! I think it's for the best anyway. I'm having plenty of fun with my new poison-brewing artificer so far. Just be gentle when you destroy Salgyn's zombified corpse. :D Best of luck to the survivors!

GM: I take it you're leaving the adventure then @pacdidj? As I told ronakshah2000, there will be an opportunity for dead characters to return to the adventure shortly or for new characters to be introduced if you'd rather replace Salgyn.

As for Eithal, it is indeed my mistake. Eithal is just unconscious (whew!) and can spend surges.

OOC: Hmmm. I didn't realize you meant an option to resurrect in-game. I guess I've kind of missed the boat on this. Already statted up a replacement character, sent him over to The Hanged Man, and signed up for an adventure. I appreciate the offer, but I think I'd rather let Salgyn rest in peace, or pieces as the case may be. I hope this doesn't throw a wrench in any of your encounter design. If you were planning on having 2 leaders throughout, I could bow out of the game that Cute-Hydra is starting and RP Siveris making his way over here.

OOC: First of all, good fight everyone. I'm glad we (somehow) avoided the TPK.
Sorry about the deaths, ronak and pac. :.-(

Toeto rises from the ground clutching her head, apparently suffering an incredible migraine. She stumbles through the fog for a few seconds as she looks for her friends. She runs into Yishim first.

"... Waaaahhh!!!" she cries out. Toeto immediately slaps the bound zombie across the side of the face before realizing that it isn't a threat at the moment. One by one, her allies appear in the fog to investigate. She calms herself, summons her spirit basilisk, and begins healing the survivors.

OOC: I wonder, is it okay to use my regenerate-while-bloodied racial power after combat ends? If so, that takes me to 21/38 hp. I spend 2 more surges from there to get to 38/38 hp and 1/10 surges remaining.
If it's not okay, I guess I'm at 27/38 hp and no surges left.

Reminder: You get 3 extra hp if you spend a second wind while next to my spirit companion. For those of you who haven't spent it yet (anyone?).

Toeto is the first to suggest a new plan. She nearly whispers, "Um... let's go back to the tower..."

"Ooooh mah aykin' hayed!" Eithal slowly comes around, grabbing her head to stop the continuous pounding.
OOC: Eithal already spent her second wind, so she'll go with four surges. That leaves her with 3 surges. I hope she can sleep after (or before?) the next encounter.

Feats:

Sudden Roots: Whenever Eithal hits an enemy with an Opportunity Attack, that enemy is slowed until the end of its next turn.

Crushing Earthstrength: When Eithal uses her second wind, she gains a +4 bonus to her weapon damage rolls until the end of her next turn.

Guard of Stone: While Eithal is under the effect of her stone’s endurance racial power, each enemy marked by Eithal takes an additional penalty to attack rolls for attacks that don’t include Eithal as a target. The penalty equals her Constitution modifier and lasts until the end of her next turn. [/sblock]

There is a distant howl out in the woods and suddenly, the rerisen Yishim and Salgyn begin thrashing at their bonds. Before anyone can secure them, Salgyn slips free and dashes of with remarkable speed into the foggy wood.

Fredrock manages to trip Yishim before he gets away, sitting on him until they can get him rebound.

As Kaz stirs to life, he sees a golden light in the distance through the fog, at first thinking its the Light until Toeto steps in front of him and begins bandaging him up. When the shaman is done, the light is still there, like a golden beacon.

All around in the forest, the dead grow nearer, thrashing through the trees like the mindless dead they are, the faint blue glow death motes just barely visible through the dense, chill fog.

And it's not the enemy the group can hear and see that are the most worrisome, it's the possibility there's more of the ones out there that are invisible and silent...

Eithal returns to the cliff face where she began to climb and lay in pitons. The top of the cliff is far beyond the range of vision granted by the fog, but who knows how far?

[sblock=Choices]You guys seem to have a few choices:

A) Return to the tower. Pros: there's allies there and it can be fairly defensible. Cons: it sounds like there's a small army of the dead out there between you and it... that and you don't know exactly where it is anymore.

B) Continue up the route Eithal was pioneering up the cliff face. Pros: if you move quickly, you'll quickly be out of the forest and away from the dead, seemingly vanished without a trace. Cons: If you aren't fast enough, you'll probably face climbing a steep cliff face while under attack by a swarm of death motes.

C) Head towards the golden light Kaz has spotted. Pros: It doesn't seem to be too far away and could be a safe haven. Cons: You have no idea what it is and it could be a trap.[/sblock]

OOC: I hope this doesn't throw a wrench in any of your encounter design. If you were planning on having 2 leaders throughout, I could bow out of the game that Cute-Hydra is starting and RP Siveris making his way over here.

GM: More healers is always better, but I can adjust the encounter easily enough. Have fun on your new adventure and thanks for playing with us.

As for powers, you can use any powers you have unexpanded at the end of that combat, so Toeto can regen away. There isn't time for more than 1 short rest however, since the dead are closing...

I think Kaz can return to consciousness with 1 hp - though I could be wrong. If that's not the case, he does by DM fiat. :p
