Has anyone played this or read the rules over. I am thinking of picking it up and wanted to see what you thought about it.

Thanks.

My sisters fiance bought it a few weeks back.
I read through it and im happy with it.
Old besm cant be used with it, thought you can convert, I didnt notice a conversion guide, but it seemed like you could just take the same power from your old character and just rearrange them.
You want higher rolls, not lower ones.
As someone who hated the older game Im looking forward to giving this a try in actual play.

Bought it when it came out (was a big fan of non-d20 BESM back in the day). Haven't had a chance to play it, but plenty of chances to read through it.

Biggest improvement is the more intuitive "roll high" vs. the older "roll low." There's also a lot of minor tweaks throughout the powers/abilties, and the skill system is no longer prone to the rampant level of abuse that it was under BESM2e.

Generated a bunch of characters a while back (due to being sick as a dog and bored out of my skull), ranging from a mecha jock to a 80's action movie tough guy to a kunoichi, and there were no issues in getting the right feel for the characters.

Darn shame Guardians of Order went belly-up prior to BESM3e's release, as I think they finally got as close to a perfect anima RPG as is humanly possible.

I thought it was good as well....waitaminute. GoO went out of business?! When? And in what capacity?! Seriously, though, that's quite a shock.

Wow....I am so out of the loop. Well at least I'm not in for any other surprises. At least Dragonlance is still going strong *goes to dl3e.com*. Well....I'm disappointed.

Seriously though, I am so out of the loop I'm finding out all of these surprising things quite a bit after the fact. :\
