"As you say," Kenn retorts, "Kuther has the money. I don't know if he can follow us on the ferry. I know he can't get back to Sharn -- not with the prices your relatives charge."
He waves a placating hand at Mardigan.
"Even if he can follow us on the ferry, we'll still likely lose twelve hours waiting for him at least: he may not figure out what we've done and get the next ferry, so it may be more."
Kenn sits down on the side of the fountain and kicks his heels against the coping.
"Then unless you want to abandon Tam halfway across Khorvaire, I think we're waiting for him. We can take the twelve hours to lay on transport from Khorth: at least we'll touch down there knowing where to go and who to talk to.
Kuther, have we got enough money for a Tam leash?"
