Blood Will Tell: D20 Modern in London (Closed)

I've replied to your message with slightly more specifics.

I saw the rogues gallery and wanted to reply; figured others might benefit from the answers to this, so I will post it here.

How detailed do you want us to be in the rogues gallery?? You wanted to approve our concepts first, but was that because you want specifics about our characters hidden from others for realism?? Or should we post everything to the gallery?? Just wondering

Go ahead and post as much or as little as you want to share. If there is something you want to keep back from the party, send it to me. I mainly wanted to keep things quiet until I knew what people were running. There may have been a need to keep certain characters origins secret, but as far as I can see, everyone is "fairly" normal!

Also I wanted people to make what they wanted to run, without the meta-knowledge of "hey we need a tought hero", or "who's gonna be the medic".

If you can find a pic that looks like your character, post that too. I plan on doing the same with the important NPC's.

For your convenience, the gallery is here:

Ahhhhhhh, Excellent idea!! Thanks for the reply. Is there a point buy number?? Level 1??? Any gear restrictions (other than the fact that we are starting out as "normal" people, that is)?

Morrolan-

Hmm... reading through the thread I cannot quite make out whether your game is filled. Tell you what: I am very interested in joining, so I will send you my PC concept, and if I can get in- great! If not, maybe I can lurk for a bit and join later. Let me know!

Questions from the new guy:

Do we take half or something on the wealth check (2d4)??? How about hit dice? Can we make a Profession Check for 2nd level to see if Wealth bonus increases?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, just my first time making a d20 Modern character. Thanks in advance for the help.

We're full now, but I'll keep you in mind as an alternate. Six is getting a bit unwieldy for me. Maybe I need two weapon fighting?

Hit Dice: Take full at 1st level, half at 2nd.

Wealth: There is a table for generating the wealth of characters higher than 1st level. Lemme dig up the page reference.

Edit: Its Table 7-2 p. 204.

And no worries on the questions. This is my first time running Modern, so should be fun! ;)

Found it, the table is on page 204, but the text says that that is an average wealth bonus per level, instead of a bonus, so I think the best thing might be to take the difference between the 2nd level and the first level. The reason I say this is that I have a +4 from my occupation, +3 from windfall (only other feat that seemed to fit with my concept) and a +1 from Profession skill. If I add the +5 from the table on page 204, I get a pretty whopping bonus, which seems a bit much (although I see my character as pretty wealthy), but if I take it as an average like the text says, should I just replace one of those bonuses from above with the +5, and if so which one?? Just trying to make sense of the mechanic.

EDIT: +7 as an average 1st level character must take into account an average 2d4 roll, right?? So maybe just add the +5, since an average 2d4 is 4 and the +1 is for the profession roll at 2nd level?... hmmm.
