Look forward to seeing your adventure posted for us to review and play

Perhaps meaning my comments unfair and do I think I can do better?

Big big difference is that I am not charging for my adventure or publishing it as the first premier officially licensed example for 5th Edition.

I am not trying to be overly nasty or anything but neither am I trying to defend what I see as a poor example of how to do it by the pros.

If you are just looking to play my adventures...please send me lots of money to....lol

:)

If your ideas are worth lots of money I may be willing to pay for an adventure you write. What's stopping you? You wrote 50 pages of ideas. One of those has to be awesome?

Cool :) well I just posted a wee bit about my attempts here:

http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?368107-My-1st-Homebrew

I actually liked the general direction of Hoard of the Dragon Queen and I liked this and that within but I just think it suffers from bad balancing and as the first 'proper' post launch module should have been more of a hand holding experience than one where you are battling against poor editing and I suspect some rushed production. Maybe I am being unfair a bit to the chaps who wrote it...if so, sorry folks. I was just surprised at how ridiculously deadly some of it was...near TPK in the hatchery vs Half Dragon and two insanely tough Berserkers (did I miss the bit where they were somehow hindered?) I could have changed it all and solved a lot of the problems but really I don't think I should have to do that much work when I buy it off the shelf. Oh well nevermind...we still had fun with it so I am not having a nerdrage or anything :)

Wrathamon, I can say without hesitation my adventure is better than Hoard. It is out of print but it is downloadable. It was written for 3.5 but should be usable by Pathfinder with a little modification. The maps by Ed Bourelle are pristine and very usable. The encounters (though challenging) are mostly appropriate. There is actually treasure rewarded to the characters as well. It goes from 1-13th level in addition.

Thanks Retreater! I'll check it out. I dont play pathfinder but an adventure is an adventure.

How would you create an emotional moment in a player? or would you bother? How would you create a villain that the player must interact with and then later defeat (a Darth Vader or another that is meant to a threat, scary and the players need to get better to hope to defeat) Would you just let it be part of the story, never let the players interact with that enemy, or just not have re-occurring enemies?
