Book of Eldritch Might 2: Variant Sorcerer

Ok, here is the question. I'm about to start a game, and I'm going to be using the varient sorcerer from BoEM2. I noticed something however. The Spells per day table says that the sorcerer doesn't cast any 2nd level spell until 4th level. However the spells known table says the sorcerer gets their first 2nd level spell at 3rd level. Which is correct, and how should the incorrect table read? Does anyone have any clue, the errata on the malhavoc press site doesn't mention this at all.

It's an error. The tab;les are the same as the ones in the PHB, so you can use those.
