That's fine, it's just b&w text. USB stick or CD I can bring laptop just in case but it's heavy.

That's no problem - usb storage works on all modern OS's, it'll be in PDF.

Yup - works out of the box on linux, windows, mac os. No magic or additional drivers needed. You can even see them and boot off them in Open Firmware or through the apple os chooser (hold down option at boot) - if they've been setup appropriately that is.
