Rich-
I dont know what the heck you are talking about.
We made Lucifer the way we made him. He wasnt "thrown together" nor was he "poorly reasearched" nor was he done for shock value or coolness factor.
As for your accusation:
"Sounds like a cheap publicity stunt to me. If you're going to give us Satan, give us Satan, not some jackass devil with that name slapped on for kewlness factor."
Thats an insult to me and to Scott. I dont do things for "kewlness factor" and resent any insinuation to the contrary. I dont know what we did to you to get you to make such an attack. All Scott did was mention Lucifer was going to be in the ToH.
Perhaps you should do your homework about a product before you go making those types of allegations.
As an aside, I feel Scott's Lucifer straddles the line perfectly. It has the vaguest of connections to the mythological or whatever you want to call it version of Lucifer (booted out by the god of good), which I think fans expect to see to some degree:
"It is believed that Lucifer was the first devil in existence, having been cast down from the heavens when he challenged the rulings of the gods of law and good. After being cast down, Lucifer built his palace of iron and basalt on the lowest and darkest plane of a region he called Hell."
But at the same time you will notice that he is not a "fallen angel" nor are there direct Judeo-Christian references. Note the reference to the "gods" of law and good. Thus not endorsing a Judeo-Christian version, allowing much flexibility.
