"Oh, king eh? Very nice. And how'd you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers. By hanging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society."

Or

"I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous collective."

Sorry, couldn't be a truly nerdy thread without Monty Python quotes ;)
Congrat's and many thanks :)
And you can tell I am the king because I'm not all covered with... :uhoh:

Heh,
Gary

I like the sound of "King Gygax I, Ruler of Nerdland, Lord of the Geeks"... which makes me your most humble/nerdy/geeky subject. :)

Congratulations, your majesty. Or should I say omedeto, Gaigakusu-sama as I`m currently in the country which you beat in its entirety? ;)
I do joke with some Japanese fellows by saying that it isn't Gary-san, it is Gary-SAMA!!!

LOL,
Gary

Fantastic! I went straight and told my wife about it. She wasn't quite as excited as you (or me) but she said she was happy for you. There's some mainstream recognition for you. :)
Actually....

I do believe that those in the "mainstream" wil not see the true nature of the accolade, think it more of a stigma or put-down. Only those in dorkdom, nerds and geeks, can truly understand the real humor involved here.

Cheerio,
Gary

Nerds rule.

Gary rules Nerds.

Ergo, Gary is the Overnerd, Emperor of us All, the geek equivalent of a Kha Khan. King is way below his station, really!

Congrats, Gary, and may your rule be prosperous in deed and song!

Hmmm...

The demise giving way to Homo superious I assume;)

Ciao,
Gary

Homo sapiens nerditicus has a nice ring to it.

I remember a scientist saying that we should not call ourselves H. sapiens sapiens because it's pretentious to pretend we know so much we can be redundantly sapiens, but H. sapiens ludens because we continue to play even once adult.

I like it. I like being a H. sapiens ludens.
