D&D 3E/3.5 Brainstorming an oddball character. (Again? Again.)

I think at this point it’s clear to me to make this PC a single-classed fighter.*

There’s just so much going on with the feats that accentuate his non-class related fantastical elements that I couldn’t really do much with the Paladin of Freedom.** The way I’m envisioning Sir MacCloud at this point, maybe half of the character level feats chosen will be Fey ones, with 1-2 for breath weapon feats.






* maybe Psychic Warrior, if psionics is either allowed or houseruled into a magic using class

PC will get only 6 standard feats due to LA. The finalists will be selected from this list. The first one is the only guaranteed selection, since it is the prerequisite for the other Fey feats.

May have miscalculated the # of Feats this character by using Levels + LA. Apparently, it should be Levels + HD. That means 7 feats, not 6.

...good news for me, since I was having trouble trimming down to 6.

Getting the order will be tricky, though. There’s lots of wiggle room; lots of interesting effects on the PC depending on the order they’re taken in. Right now I‘m thinking:

Trickery Devotion

The PC is shaping up nicely. He’ll be taking ranks in Perform: singing and UMD. Not many, but...


And he’s going to have a...fascination...with piercing weapons. All of his weapons will do piercing damage, even if it’s not the ONLY damage type they do. Even though this is a 2WF character, I’m considering burning a feat on XWP on Elven Courtblade in addition to the other stuff. It plays into that Fey ancestry/quasi-Seelie Court vibe I’m drifting towards.

I briefly toyed with the idea of him using sleep drugs or poison on his weapons, but decided that it didn’t work with his CG alignment.
