Break of Dawn [Manzanita judging] COMPLETED

Quarion glances into the mostly empty room. "A fine table, but let us look in the other rooms before we scour this one for secrets, shall we?" He gestures to one of the remaining two doors in the pentagonal room.

You move on to the next door and carefully open it.
As soon as the door is just slightly opened you suddenly hear the joyfull chitter of a lot of birds soming from the room and a soft light pours through the opening of the door. As you peek inside you see a room filled with a soft light and a number of small colorfull birds criss-crossing through the room with great speed and agility.

"So far this looks much less ominous than the surrounding forest." says Odno. "I assume these rooms all have a purpose, a puzzle we must solve to reach the amulet, but I fail to see any clue or pattern."

"It might be something stupid like 'feed the berries to the birds' or something like that. However, birds don't usually tend to just fly around underground in a room without a food source. We should consider that this might be an illusion or other form of ongoing magic."

(OOC: Ally will try to disbelieve and to use Spellcraft or Knowledge Arcana as well. If nothing works, she'll shrug and say the following:)

"Well, we can figure out how everything comes together after we explore the last door, right friends?"

Ally tries to see a sign of the birds being created by illusion magic, but her eyes tell het that the birds are there and they're real.

The group moves on to the last room. The door is carefully opened and behind it is a room filled with large, soft pillows. They are the kind of pillows one would expect in a luxurious lounge of some sort. The lighting in this room is warm and soft and you hear the music of a wind chime playing softly, although no such instrument seems present.

"This makes no sense, at least considering the current hypothesis that these rooms contain some kind of puzzle that opens the hidden door. I'm starting to nurture the idea that there's not such puzzle - perhaps the door is defended by just being hidden" says Odno. "I must admit, though, that I didn't imagine duids resting among luxurious pillows."

"Nor did I. The table room seems simplest, I suggest we return there and examine things more closely. This room looks like it might contain some kind of slumber enchantment, and the bird room is rather hectic."

Mordik walks absentmindedly to the center room, following the group. With a hand on his beard as he thinks and points in turn, berry bush, stone slab dec'rated with plants, birds, and a room with pillows... Mebbe berries on the slab and birds on the pillows? nah..Mebbe...hmm.. Quarion? Let's both of us take a look at that big stone "slab" - there's more to that I'll bet. What plants are those ingraved on it?

Mordik will take his time examining the slab. (take 20)
