Brewing potions

Otherwise, *everything* could be made as a wonderous item..rings, rods, staves, etc. No, the rules state that wonderous items are only if they don't already fit elsewhere.

Best arguement ever, one I can't fault. (Edit: The one I personally use when on that side of the arguement)

Yes, I personally would allow cure light wound rings. Of course, that's a horrible slot to put it in, it goes a lot better on a belt.

However I agree. Yes, using that logic everything could be a wonderous item. However, if you're still only applying "things that don't fall under the ageis of another skill, all you have to do is use a little imagination to make it not fit. It'll cost more, but it really should.

That's one of the things I like about Arcana Unearthed/Evolved. There is no scribe scroll or brew potion. They are Craft Spell Completion Item and Craft Single Use Item respectively. Much simpler IMO.

"I will Disable Device the lock, now it won't lock and I can open the door"
I love that. But I like the counter even better:
"Congratulations, you successfully disable the device. Now it no longer functions and thus can not unlock or be unlocked."

Muahahahaha. :D

Of course... that makes sense. I like it.

Would you still require only one type of potion, or could I make 2 cure serious, and 2 barkskin.

My dm allowed me to mix it up, it didnt have to be all the same potion type.

Works for me, except I'd require the preparation/slot expenditure of one spell per potion made. So you probably wouldn't be making 20 potions of Cure Light Wounds in one day unless you're 9th-10th level (depending on Wis).

I always play an artificer, so I only have to emulate the spell. And with a +21 to my UMD, its pretty easy to do that.

This is the same logic that eschews Open Locks. "I will Disable Device the lock, now it won't lock and I can open the door"

Heheh. You've got to be more literal there. Sure, I'd allow someone to Disable Device the lock. Now it won't "work", and therefore won't lock OR unlock. So it's permanently locked if it was already locked, and yes you can now open the door ... ... but if it was locked you have to find some way around the lock.
