Buffy Spoilers 11/12

Interesting Xander was not shown as he has always been the one with the greatest insecurities. This could be the loophole to keep everyone together or we finially see Xander go bad (just a wish).

Heyyy, wait a second....

Xander's never gotten the spotlight before. His relationship's gone to hell, his best friend tried to end the world, and his longtime crush would rather get it on with a peroxide-blonde vampire than spare him a secnd glance.

So he helps build a new school. And someone's built a room in the basement with a "restricted" sign on the door, in which there's a big ole goat's-head pentagram.

And we see TTTEYSWYB with Buffy (probably); with Spike (in earlier eps); with Dawn; with Willow. But we never see it in the same room as Xander!

Oh, I think I see where this is going. . . .

Daniel ;)

Not a chance. I will not believe that Xander has gone evil, not after the way he saved everything in the end of season 6. He would not do that to willow. I don't think Xander was aware of all the details of the construction on Sunnydale High. Of course If I am wrong this willl floor me worse than Tara's death and Willlows going bad. At least I saw that one coming a little.

As far as the rest of this episode goes I think the Big Bad was behind everything. Remember that the psych vamp said that he felt like he was connected to an all consuming evil. He could have been fed lines by The One Beneath.

Interesting thing is if all of this is The One Beneath it hit everyone exactly where they are most vulnerable. It gave the wussy member of the evil trio the person he wanted to see most and led him to axe Johnathon. It attacked Willow through her grief over Tara and her fear of her own powers. It hit Buffy in her own insecurities and really messed with her mind, possibly even setting her up to go after Spike. And the darn thing was positively insidious with Dawn, it used her self confidence issues against her by outting her through hell before she managed to work a spell alone that allowed her to talk to "Joyce". At that point she would have believed anything that "Joyce" said since she had to work so hard for it.

a point about Xander. He has had the spotlight. But just not like we have wanted him to. His character is that of the underdog. Joss has said each character has a purpose to serve and fulfill and he is most like Xander. Joss has never really been in the spotlight and Xander is the underdog. Everyone can identify with a character. What about those who actually live Xander like lives, rarely get thanked for saving the day and once in a while, be the hero.

Thats Xander.

As for the Vampire guy with Buffy? He's real. I dont think the BBEG is going to allow Buffy to spill her emotional guts to get better to kick its ass.

Why not? She gave out important information that can be used against her and the group. She was feed information to weaken the group and to keep them busy.

The OB used a pawn for recon. I think the winner was the big bad not Buffy.

I truely hope it was the big bad that Buffy was fighting. I personally thought the Dawn section of the show was spectacular, the Willow section was OK, and the Buffy Sections sucked.

I have had enough of emotionally depressed Buffy, but I am really tired off this season is how terrible of a Slayer she is. In angel, angel kicks a wussy demon, monster or vamps butt with ease and tough villians take more work. In Buffy, every fight is a struggle and it frustrates me. She consistantly takes beatings. She put up a good fight against Glory(ultra tough) and has taken beatings from sigular vampires (cake walk).

This guy almost beat her multiple times last night. I know they mentioned the martial arts training, but does that really make him that tough. He had only had a few years of training and Buffy has been training and fighting since her Freshman year in HS. In essence, the fight scenes have had un-needed drama that I don't care for.

It was a great episode because of the scenes with dawn and the house.

Angel as a show is wierd with the fighting. I mean, Xander has been at it way longer than most of the people on there, but from appearances they could all take him, even Fred.

The psych-major vamp could have just been really good. Really, you learn the most from martial arts in the first year or two- going from complete novice to moderately competant is a huge improvement. After that, you're more incrementally improving. And picking it up his freshman year at college, about age 18, and starting to bulk up, that's close to the best time he could have started- getting lots stronger, plenty of free time to train. Buffy is good, but she's little. :)

I found it to be a pretty creepy episode also. I loved that.
I think that the evil was working at each person individually, with an individual goal. Willow poses the largest threat right now, so she is the first to eliminate. She has potential to do some real damage against this evil, should the time come and she has to.
As far as Xander is concerned, I am sure there will be something coming his way, subtle and unforseen, or maybe drastic for all we know. If not I would be surprised. I think everyone in the group will have something come to them. But then again it is all speculation on what this season has coming. :)

I think that vamp was real too. Remember what he said at the end? Spike was his sire (sirah?). Then it cut to "Spike" biting someone.

My personal opinion, one of Spike's personalities is immune to the chip. He has different, clear personalities. I've seen three actually. One that is William (his human self) who is a coward and frightened of everything. Another is Spike, who is a blood-thirsty killer with no soul, and the third is the combination, the one who is aware he is both Spike and William.

I think this latter personality is in control most of the time. But the evil-Spike personality has the ability to kill. He's also confident and feels himself invincible.

IMO, that vamp was real and that was the real Spike. They just need to invoke the right personality. I guess we'll find out next week.

He is also a brand new vamp, just crawling out of the grave. I am no genius on the topic, but I have to assume that vamps get more powerful with age. They learn to master their powers, moods and urges. She shuold have kicked his buttocks real good.
