Can Fabricate be used to create mechanical traps?

Pretty much what the title says: can the Fabricate spell be used to create mechanical traps or cut down the time in creating them?

Yes, if it's within your volume limit and you already have all the materials (which have a price attached!).

Note that the volume limit applies to the raw materials. The final trap needs to fit within close range is the only limit on the final size.

So in the case of trapmaking, the trap would cost the same amount and require the same DC to create (since it requires "a high degree of craftsmanship") but the creation time is vastly lower. Did I get that right? Thanks for the help!
