Shouldn't be a problem, as resurrection states (from the SRD):
"You can resurrect...someone who has been turned into an undead creature and then destroyed....undead creatures can’t be resurrected."
From reading that, it sounds to me like casting resurrection on a destroyed undead "cures" that creature. If it did not remove the "undeath" then resurrection wouldn't work since "undead creatures can’t be resurrected." With the requirement that the creature cannot have been dead longer than 10 years per caster level, the cleric should have no problem.
Edit: I do like the Vampiric bloodline angle as a lingering aftereffect. Might have to use that...
