D&D 5E Casting multiple spells with bonus spells and the order they are cast.

No, thanks. I'll continue to consider that you have created a needless convolution unsupported by the rules. What happens on your turn happens during your turn. Such tautologies should not even need to be stated.

Exactly.

Life's too short to spend it on trying to make people see what they clearly don't want to see.

Everyone else: sorry for the confusion, hope we've made how the RAW works reasonably clear.

And, again, I agree with that statement. But all that happens on your turn is not part of your turn. If an enemy reacts to something on your turn, that happens on your turn and is during your turn, but it is not part of your turn. This should be obvious. The distinction I'm making is that this is true for all reactions, including your own.

Yup, glad I could clear that up for you despite Cognomen's continued reticence.

Oh, wait, was there some ambiguity there? Ironic.

Exactly what I have been trying to say since the beginning.

You have 4 action resources possible: Move, action, bonus action and reaction.
Your turn is compose of: Move, action and bonus action. You decide whenever and how you want to spend these.
A reaction is indepent of your decision. You can't use it without an outside condition. A reaction interupts the turn for a moment. It is no longuer the turn of anyone in that "time bubble" It is almost as a turn of its own.

So a reaction is outside the turn sequence because it interupts it. Be it your turn or someone else's turn. What happens during that "Time bubble" is independent of what happened before or after. When the interuption is resolved, time goes back on track and the turn continues where it was at. Regardless of the outcome of what happened in the "time bubble".

Why are you still talking to me?

I sincerely hope no newbie tries to use this thread for clear and concise answers, because two people have ruined it for that purpose.
