This is a "gaming philosophy" point, but I've always *liked* big discrepencies in stat scores, and never considered "balance" to be a vital issue in an rpg. C&C goes a long ways towards making stat differences less important by reverting back to a bonus model closer to 1e, and Primes and character level are more important in most ways.
Okay, it's easy to say that when I rolled two 17's - but I rolled those with 3d6 straight! Would I have gotten better results with 4d6? Odds are I wouldn't have the 5 Cha ... And, so far the stat's for the characters are pretty close to the arrays shown. I say roll the bones and let them lie!
This is more or less a non-issue,and I don't mean to argue! Just stating that (from my point of view) the other PC's are welcome to any stat discrepencies they can roll up! Especially if someone puts something better than a 5 in Charisma ...
Cheers,
Christopher
