In my opinion, Celestial Brilliance is badly overpowered, mainly because it's portable and lasts for hours (or is it days?). In my campaign, it can only be cast on an area, not an object, so it's not portable. It also really should be a divine spell rather than arcane.

I don't think Earth Reaver is too much more powerful than Ice Storm, though it is more powerful. For one, it does part fire damage, which is by far the most common to defend against. For another, the range on Ice Storm is Long, whereas with Earth Reaver it's Medium. Also, I think that Earth Reaver is supposed to allow a save (probably Reflex), given the line that talks about failing a save, even though it's listed as having no save.

I think I would actually argue that Ice Storm is underpowered for it's level, rather than Earth Reaver overpowered.

yes celestial brillance is on exalted deeds.... it's not yet translate in italian....someone can answer my question if achaerai take 2d6 ? every round
or the spell works only outsider undead ??

thank u

According to the spell description, celestial brilliance definitely does 2d6 points of damage every round to evil outsiders.

If you ask me, the spell might be balanced if it lasted for ten minutes per level instead of 1 day per level. Right now, it's just silly.

I run earth reaver as having a fixed radius (20'), not the increasing-radius-per-level mentioned in the statblock. I also assume there's no save against the damage, but you get a Ref save to avoid being knocked down.

I think I actually like your way better than my proposed one.

1 day/level.. that is just.. a little.. crazy..

With a decent set of items a character could make it last for something like 2 months per casting. Do they overlap? If an undead walks into a room lit by 20 of these things are they just about instantly slain? Assuming overlaping effects do nothing it wouldnt be hard to have an entire town covered with these things. 3 castings a day, nearly two months before needing to be refreshed, it is always daytime and evil outsiders beware!

1day/level.. wow.. almost might as well be permanent like the everburning torch.
