Well I've been a fanboy of this for years and will be around (as a fanboy) this round as well. Comments on all stories is the plan (you don't get this on 'till next week anyway, right?) as usual.

We've never let someone judge before that hadn't competed at least once. Partly because CDM is about more than just the technical merits of the writing and someone who's never participated might not have a good feel for how to weigh the different aspects. And partly because until you've had to write under the pressure of the competition, you haven't earned the right to criticize others
