CG vs. LE: Chaotic Good is Victorious!

Can I request a post-mortem on this one after the fight? If it's magic it should be suppressed, but it's not magic, and it's still invisible in a non-magical way. As weak as my rules knowledge may be, I cannot fathom a non-magical invisible wall. Do Eladrin have a "block anti-magic" ability maybe?

Given that, a full six-pack of free-action rays in the front arc includes disintegrate, so Leona would start with that and if that generates success maybe the follow-up rays will be of some use.

A post-mortem will be given. There is a logical explanation for all this, and I will give it as soon as I come up with it. :heh: :) Leona has no way of knowing what the explanation is.

Leona cannot use its eyes in front this round because the anti-magic eye is open, unless it wants to close its anti-magic eye.

The disintegration ray hits something and stops at 40E. The remaining five rays continue, and two of them hit something at 90N40E, with the other three missing due to invisibility.

Tule begins round 433.

Ugulu[sblock]The charm person and slow rays hit. The former has no effect, with no saving throw needed, while the second is saved against.[/sblock]Evilhalfling[sblock]Only one of the rays necessitates a saving throw, which is successful (Will save 36+4=40).

The wall of force is gone. You still have the effect going from your earlier singing.[/sblock]

okay, besides great confusion that was less than effective.
Tule will call down a blaze of righteous power on leona

now I have questions ... what are all these rays? okay I figured out the disintegrate one.

Round 433

A twenty foot radius blast of holy power hits Leona, who does not resist at all (natural 1 Will save). It takes 63 points of damage and is blinded. Leona has 147 HP remaining.

Evilhalfling[sblock]Tule becomes visible after his turn that he just took.[/sblock]Infiniti and Gansk question, and Ugulu can look[sblock]I think Leona can still use the powers of his eyes, even though he is blind. Am I correct in that assumption?[/sblock]

Yes, because they are rays. She'll suffer miss chances and the like. However, the big question is whether or not Leona can cover herself in the antimagic eye to nullify the blindness. More importantly, can she use the disjunction ray on the effect (it can be used on effects normally but whether it can work on this effect)? Or if not, can she used focused antimagic only on herself to alleviate the blindness, so that she can then shoot the other rays? Of course, if Tule is still blind it will not make much of a difference.

These are the hard questions for beholders. :)[/sblock]

Everyone except EH:[sblock]I would rule that it is a physical effect caused by an instaneous spell, thus it cannot be anti-magicked or disjoined. The AM cone still emanates from the central eye, however.[/sblock]

Everyone: [sblock] Intriguing. I was about to respond, but realized your take has validity. I'd probably even say it's the most correct interpretation and a good way to run it. Hurray, I learned something today!

The real question, now, is why I put this in a spoiler block? [/sblock]
