CG vs. LE: Chaotic Good is Victorious!

PJSlavner:[sblock]I was going to say Giix loses, but then any readied action by an opponent would steal a chance to return to the VZ, effectively reducing the number of rounds from four to three.[/sblock]

Giix's turn in round 577.

Let's try this: fly s/sw/w along the edge of the VZ, do a wingover at 65n35e then (assuming he moves then the hand moves to block) end at 70n50e.

I guess for my own understanding of the spell - where is the hand located when it prevents that move? Is it always assumed to have "jumped" to the most advantageous spot (i.e. there is no required movement)?

Edit: to help figure out what I'm asking...I was hoping the column would provide even 5' of delay until the hand can get back in place, but the spell may just "pop" the hand to the best position regardless of physical impediments - that's what I'm wondering about.

I guess the hand squeezed to avoid the pillar, but it still has enough speed to get into position. It is automatically fast enough to block you.
