Character Submission Thread

Thanks.

I just gave myself Flint & Steel and Trail Rations. I don't see what else I would absolutely need, or at least, what I would need that wouldn't put me over light encumbrance. I can cast light, so I don't need torches, and I don't need a bedroll, since elves don't sleep, do they?
Elves still require sleep. At least I didn't find anything in the CRB or ARG that suggests different. Besides a bedroll, other suggestions, rope, whetstone, scroll case, paper, pen and ink, etc. And then there is a spell component pouch. You need your pouch of fireflies, or else your light spell is not going to be working.

As a GM, I cringe when I see a character, who is supposed to be a self sufficient wanderer, to be carrying just weapons, armor and nothing else. When I made the first comment, your character was real close to that.

Your first outfit doesn't cost gold or weight, so you get 4 lbs back there. You have a shield listed as 0 0. If you are not carrying one, you should remove the line. I would prefer the daggers listed as "daggers (5)" instead of as ammo since they can be used both as melee and ranged. They don't require a specific weapon to "fire" them, as they are the weapon themselves.

I've edited Erinth slightly, he now has grease rather than tap inner beauty. I will likely go for "vanilla" bard rather than an archetype and keep the elven magic trait. I will probably keep the message cantrip for now, but I noticed something interesting: in the spell itself, it says you can whisper and receive whispered replies, but normally a verbal component means that the caster has to speak in a clear, strong voice. So would my character have to speak loudly the message he wants to send, or does he just need to whisper?

Edit: I think I'll go with it, so lmk if the character is approvable as he is.

I wouldn't describe my character as self-sufficient. Though he comes from a tribal background, I'd say they were very similar to Arabic Bedouins: close-knit, interdependent nomads who are fairly civilized when compared to other barbarian clans. He's not the sort to trek through wilderness when he can follow a road from town-to-town and stay there, but I can see where you're coming from, so I changed his inventory around. I'd forgotten about spell components entirely. :P

Being that one of his themes is as a foreigner, should I change Common to Broken Common? I'd think he'd know enough to get by, since he's been in these lands for a little bit, but he'd be nowhere near fluent.

Hi.
First day. High school all over again.
Anyways, I'm here from the big surge of GITP people that just showed up, character is a Human Fire-Based Elemental Sorcerer, Morgan Blake.
I'll let the character speak for itself, got my fingers crossed that I did everything right.

Apparently I can not post links as my first few posts, but Eldandil Zelvetion is ready for submission on the wiki. The chart should be sufficient information about the character.

Hello,

Edited Erinth to change the spells and change his second perform skill from comedy to percussion; I also removed some gear so he can come with a small drum. This should be the final version if he's okay.

I'm going to go through the approvals list in alphabetical order, because I'm not longer sure who applied first. Apologies if this means you submitted first but get looked at last.

Reviewing Antal:
1. Most GMs will want a picture for Antal and Kin to use for map tokens.
2. You are missing a language from your skill point in Linguistics.
3. Use Magic Device was messed up. you had 1+3+4+1= +11, and you had a trait bonus that looks like a leftover from a previous build. I removed the trait bonus and corrected the math.

2 is the only thing that actually needs a fix, but it's minor. Antal and Kin are APPROVED.

Reviewing Endandil:

Only half done with this one as it made my head hurt.

1. Reformatted a bunch of stuff.
2. You get a free local language.
3. Someone's been reading Treantmonk's Guide to Wizards. Please remember to roleplay your abysmal charisma score.

Otherwise, you're looking good so far. I will review fully later.

1. Sorry about the formating, the use of space and line shift as only formating tools makes this require a lot of work to make pretty...
2. What are the local languages? Guess I'll look at the wiki.
3. Sorry for for going too close to the guide. I guess I could change things around if you want. I will roleplay the bad charisma, I am aware that it is a significant penalty...
