Devlin the Alluring Alchemists of All Alchemy

Heddo all,

So got the first approval (non-judge) down and wanted to make sure I hadn't been forgotten on the judge approval. Know the judges can get pretty busy and all, but just wanted to be sure I was on the right track and not falling behind and such. Thanks ahead of time and see yall in an adventure soon hopefully!

I'm going to guess 'soon-ish', resrick. There is usually a flurry of activity around the launching of new adventures, which is in the works. There are also rules that smooth out such situations. For example, as a DM I was allowed to take characters with only one approval while they awaited their second.

I have half a mind to finally create a second character, but there looks to be enough 1st level characters to nicely fill the coming adventure and I don't want to overload it. More time to mull my options wouldn't hurt, anyway.

Overload one of my games? Can't be done.

Aura, if you want in, go ahead and make a second character. As one of the GMs, you are even entitled to have a third character. So, don't hold back. The recruiter should be entering the DWI tonight or tomorrow, so this is the time. The next new game starter game will be months away.

Resnick: Don't worry. Yes, I may have been slacking in my approval duties, but that will be rectified soon. I was scripting and plotting my mayhem to get a game rolling. Enough of your paperwork is done that you are kosher to jump in while we get the rest done.

Obligatory Disclosure: My first LPF game I GM'd had 7 characters in the party. The current high level game has 14 13 combatants and...
a really, really fresh corpse.

Awesome awesome thats good to hear. Had to be sure on all of i just in case. I know y'all get busy just like the rest of us so no big deal. Looking forward to jumping in this next adventure and getting my feet wet a little bit with some pbp. Also...

Who died? I saw chatter about Borrik . . . . .?

Who died? I saw chatter about Borrik . . . . .?
With a sadistic need to avenge his brethren, the big black beast slices deep into Borric's thigh, takes a couple shots to draw Borric's shield wide, and then plunges his blade, straight through the man's chest, piercing through the armor and cloak on his back side.

Borric falls.
All around the venzan countryside, whores mysteriously stop for a moment of contemplation and shed a tear...
for their lost revenue.

I was at a subway when I read that and lol. fortuantely I look like I am on line [because I am ] and attributed it to interweb mischief.

*EDIT* oh, but I am sorry PM's fighter fell to the blade of a demon. I wonder who gets his soul, if he has one . . . .

Reviewing Yosephus

This is a non-judge review of the character Yosephus by Tailspinner. Everything brought up is with the disclaimer of 'to the best of my knowledge'. If you find anything incorrect, feel free to point it out. I tend to do only minor edits to a character sheet, but instead point things out for the author to address. Bit of a lot of things to do tonight, so this review is a bit on the quick-n-dirty side.

Discontinue use if discomfort develops.

Overview: Yosephus seems to be filling the role of a strong caster/healer with little to no physical ability, except what might be brought into the game through magic.

Potential Problems:
* Nothing major here.

Notation Issues/Typos/Calculated Values:
* Sense Motive seems to be low. I get the base value to be 4 (Wis) and the total 10.
* Use Magic Device, if ever purchased, should have a base value of 3 (Cha).
* Linguistics doesn't seem to have a total at all. I get 8.
* Acrobatics seems to have missed the ACP in the total, bringing it to -6.
* In case it matters, it may be worth noting Channel Energy either heals living or damages undead, not both.
* A morningstar is kinda special in the regard of doing both B and P damage concurrently. It might be worth noting.

Suggestions:
* I'm not a fan of low spell resistances such as 5+ level. The Celestial Resistance, at least, you can count on for the 5 pts.
* I'm always a little concerned about low HP characters. One point of Wis would fund 3 pts of Con.

Comments:
* Soooo many racial substitutions. Then again, I'd do the same with Half Orc.
* Wow, he's tall. Might be worth noting how it might have effected his background. BTW, he's 1" taller than the maximum male Aasimar height listed.
* Looks like a strong team addition.

Great start. NOT YET, but just a few little things and you'll be good to go.
